What Should I Expect?
PHASE
1
Our team will begin our process by laying protection in work areas inside your unit. We like to call this ‘containment.’ Our crew will then cut into and open the drywall where needed, and drill new holes for your new mainlines.
At the end of the day, we’ll sweep any floor mess we may have left behind, and roll wall plastic up to the ceiling. This way, our containment is out of your way for the night – so you’re free to use your showers, sinks, etc. as you normally would. This allows us to reuse the plastic through the duration of the project, so your things stay protected, and so we aren’t doing things twice.
Checkout the videos below to see what Phase 1 looks like!
PHASE
2
In Phase 2 of the plumbing project, our crew will pull new mainlines through the ceilings of units 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9.
PHASE
3
In Phase 3, our team will contain in new areas, and cut out drywall to pull potable and heat lines. We’ll run new potable lines to things like your sinks, toilets etc. We’ll also run new heat lines to the registers.
Potable lines remain unconnected until Phase 4, while the old system is still used. This way, your water shutoff time is as small as possible. Heat lines will remain unconnected until Phase 5.
PHASE
4
In Phase 4 of the project, we cross your potable (sinks, showers, etc.) water over from the old plumbing system, to the new plumbing system. HEADS UP! THE WATER WILL BE OFF THROUGH THE DURATION OF THE DAY – 9:00am – 5:00pm. Be sure to make necessary accommodations! Water will be back on around 5:00pm, possibly earlier or later depending on what the day entails for our crew.
PHASE
5
In Phase 5, the team will crossover your heat, from the old system to the new system. Potable water will remain on. We’ll need to work in the areas of your heat registers – please move furniture if necessary! If you are unable to do so, our team is happy to help out.
PHASE
6
Phase 6 is where we wrap things up. Upon the City of Boulder’s inspection and approval, we can close up the drywall, and clean out of your homes! Check out the videos below to see our drywall repair process!
We look forward to completing your project!
