REPIPING ALL OF AMERICA
Turnkey Multifamily Repipe Services: Making The Process Easy For Property Managers And Residents
At Replumb Specialties Inc., we’re intimately familiar with the challenges that come with pipe replacement projects in multifamily properties. From coordinating with residents and minimizing disruption to their daily lives, to ensuring our project is completed efficiently and installed to exceed the highest standards – there’s a lot to manage. That’s why we’ve created turnkey repipe services specifically for multifamily properties, including apartments, condominiums, townhomes, assisted living communities, and hotels.
We confidently stand above any competition we might have in the pipe replacement industry. Our clients always experience the most seamless and efficient repipe experience available – that’s a guarantee. Property management teams frequently approach us with the intention of closely supervising our projects, and they quickly realize that such oversight is unnecessary. We’re the only turnkey pipe replacement company that truly takes ownership of the entire repipe process, without relying on any subcontractors. We’re committed to delivering a smooth, stress-free experience for property managers and their residents. With over three decades of industry expertise, we’ve mastered our turnkey approach to multifamily pipe replacement and additional plumbing-related services.
In-House Expertise
We’re confident when we say our in-house expertise is the flat-out best in the industry. While our competitors often (more often than not considering our own encounters) depend on subcontractors, we do things differently. Our founder built our company with a vision: hire top talent from various trades essential to our repiping processes, and teach them how to plumb. We take it a step further by providing them with plumbing apprenticeships and making sure they obtain proper licensing once they meet state requirements. As a result, we’ve maintained a standard of quality that our competitors can’t match, and we have a team of versatile, “do-it-all” plumbers. Even our web developer has a master plumber’s license.
Because everything is in-house, our clients enjoy substantial financial benefits. By overseeing every detail in each of our projects, we eliminate markups from multiple contractors on things such as asbestos abatements, drywall and tile repairs, and even plan development. And with just one point of contact, our clients enjoy a smooth, forward-moving project without delays that are typically caused by coordination issues between subcontractors.
Comprehensive Systems Designed For Each Property
Every system we build is comprised of the industry’s most proven and highest quality materials and components, and every installation meets or exceeds building code requirements. But we know reliability isn’t enough – so when we design new water systems, we keep the needs of the residents and management team front and center. We size components to exceed the building’s capacity and route our water lines using the most efficient options available. This not only ensures a high performing system, but it cuts down our clients’ utility costs. Water shutoff locations are placed in strategic locations for ease of access by management teams, especially in the case of an emergency.
Project Communications, Personalized For Residents
Clear and constructive communication with each resident is of the utmost importance to us during a multifamily repipe project. This is often overlooked by inexperienced companies, or management teams who haven’t taken on a project as complex as a turnkey water line replacement. But our team will tell you firsthand, it makes an incredibly huge difference.
Performing plumbing ‘surgery’ on a building, especially inside a resident’s home, requires more than just trade expertise. It demands clear and constructive communication with each resident to ensure they understand what will happen in their home during the repipe, and how it will benefit them later. We take this seriously, and we often dedicate one of our team members solely to producing informational material and managing communications with residents.
Residents stay in the loop 24/7 via text and email updates. Residents have the choice to subscribe or not to subscribe to notifications, and they can modify their preference at any time. The updates usually include helpful reminders like ‘the pipe replacement project will begin in your apartment in a week from today’ or ‘the water will be turned off tomorrow, so please prepare’ (paraphrasing). If there are any changes to the project timeline, we let the residents know right away. This way everyone can stay in the loop no matter where they are, and the number of unhappy residents during the project is minimized or in some cases eliminated.
We create detailed informational packets for each resident, including a pipe replacement schedule, color-shaded in-unit work maps, and a project overview.
Our in-unit work maps are designed to give residents a clear visual representation of the work being done in their home. We use a color-shading system to highlight the areas where our team will be working, as well as the traffic paths they’ll use to access those areas. This helps residents understand exactly where the work will be taking place and how it may impact their daily routines. The maps are easy to read and provide a bird’s eye view of the entire unit, ensuring that residents have a comprehensive understanding of the project’s scope.
We also provide residents with a comprehensive project overview that outlines every step of our repiping process. This detailed guide includes a clear timeline of the project, as well as any necessary preparations residents should make before work begins. Our project overview is written in plain, easy-to-understand language, empowering residents to feel confident and well-informed throughout the entire pipe replacement experience.
We recognize that some management teams prefer to handle resident communications themselves. In such cases, we are more than willing to help by providing handouts and media using our clients’ branding (such as logos, colors, and fonts), so that any project related information feels familiar to residents and looks consistent to things our clients have used in the past.

Each pipe replacement project receives an exclusive project website for residents who prefer the digital side of things. These websites have the pipe replacement schedule clearly displayed so residents can always see what’s going on with the project. The website also has a simple contact form that allows residents to reach out to the team working on their building if they have any questions or worries. To help residents feel more at ease, we include a “Meet the Team” section where residents can get to know the experienced professionals who will be working in their apartments.
Our Turnkey Repipe Process
Our turnkey repipe process was built to be as non-intrusive to residents as possible, while still delivering the best results in the industry. See our Turnkey Process page for a deeper dive on our process. Otherwise, we’ll provide a video and a brief rundown below.
· On-site Assessment and Planning: Turnkey repipes in multifamily properties begin with a comprehensive on-site assessment of the existing plumbing system. Our team will evaluate the scope of the project, identify potential challenges, and gather all necessary information to develop a detailed plan of action.
· Making Residents Aware of the Project: Before any work begins, we take the time to prepare the site and ensure that all residents are completely aware of the project. This might include greeting residents on an individual basis, hosting informational meetings, setting up a dedicated project website, providing informational handouts to residents, and anything else property management requests.
· Minimally Invasive Pipe Replacement: Our team only needs to work in areas designated on the project’s In-Unit Work Maps – meaning most areas in each unit are work-free, and completely available to the resident at all times. Water is typically on through most of the pipe replacement, and only needs to be shut off on days when the final connections for the new waterlines are being made. Even on water shutoff days, water is always available before and after working hours. Our work-area protection materials are even rolled up out of the way at the end of each workday, so residents can live as comfortably as possible while work is not being performed in their unit.
· Restoration and Cleanup: After installing the new piping and completing all required inspections with the respective building department, we repair any drywall and tile openings created during the pipe replacement. Once the drywall texture is sprayed, paint and tile grout is matched, our team performs a final cleanup of all affected units scheduled for work completion during that time.
· Post-Project Support and Warranty: Our commitment doesn’t end when the project is complete. We provide ongoing support and a comprehensive warranty to give you peace of mind long after the repipe is finished.
